Karachi: pakistan sarzameen party (psp) chairman mustafa kamal and different leaders including raza haroon and dr. Saghir ahmed have been released overdue monday night after the short detention.
Kamal and others leaders were taken into custody on sunday when they had been heading closer to the cm house.
The police, taking action in opposition to the protestors, used tear-gas shells and water cannon to disperse psp employees assembled near aisha bawany college.
In the meantime, reacting to the arrest of psp leaders, indoors minister chaudhry nisar ali khan stated that the charter ensures provision of protecting political gatherings.
Nisar condemned using energy against the psp leaders and people.
Clarifying the sindh authorities’s stance, ppp chief murtaza wahab said that the protestors tried to move beyond the authorised location (purple sector) which became unlawful.
On this, psp chief stated that he had no longer entered the purple sector.
“i’m being taken into custody for demanding water for the kids of karachi,” he said.
