The Lahore City Traffic Police (CTPL) HAS DECIDED to launch an Android app to Provide Traffic Updates and improve coordination with citizens.
The app, named as Streets and Road Traffic Awareness (RASTA), is being developed with the help of Punjab Information and Technology Board (PITB).
The Decision was Taken During a Meeting Held Between the Officials of the PITB and CTPL, Including Police Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rai Ijaz Ahmad at the Arfa Kareem Technology Park Tower. The Officials also discussed the functions of the application.
According to an official present at the meeting, the app would have six features, Including traffic updates, e-licensing, e-challanning, FM Radio, and complaints.
“In the news, events and Traffic Advisory, CTPL INFORM commuters will have traffic plans due to pre-or functions DECIDED Programs. For example, if there is a match at the Qaddafi Stadium, they would update its schedule and issue Instructions as per the traffic plan, “the official said.
The Participants Briefing Regarding the launch, Rai Ijaz Ahmad said the app will Launched Before the Eid-ul-Fitr.
“Once it is Finalized, we will register it with the Google Play Store from the WHERE citizens can download it after entering computerised on their national identity card number.
